Sharpfokus Brief – April 25, 2025
When the Market Catches Up with Cashflow

Sharpfokus is often used in two ways:
1. To understand how the stocks you hold compare to the broader market
2. To spot when market expectations and cashflow returns are moving in different directions

For a long time, BBCA.jk looked like one of the most reliable stocks in the market. On the surface, it could have been the only stock you needed to beat the average.

But for the past two years, BBCA’s cashflow return on assets (CFROA) was below its market valuation, and even turned negative in recent quarters—while the market still held the stock up.

That’s now changed. The shares have declined significantly, and BBCA has underperformed the market over the last two years.

This is something we see often:
When CFROA is below the market value, the price tends to catch down.
When it’s above, it can catch up.

Cashflow doesn’t always move first—but over time, it tends to win the argument.
